Another assignment for my ITLS 5205 class is to cover a few blogging practices that a good and safe ways to blog. Some that caught my eye were on about.com, (webblogs.about.com/od/bloggingethics). This site discussed the top 3 blogging rules. Rule 1-Cite your sources, I think this is a good rule because we need to be aware of others people information and give them credit if we use something from another blog or site. 2-Ask permission, it would also be respectful to others if you were going to use a lot of their blog or web site information if you just ask permission to blog it on your blog. 3- Play Nice, this rule describes how most blogs are open to everyone and that you should be nice and respectful to others in you blogging comments and examples, and it will help people to want to participate in you blog if you play nice.
For my ITLS 5205 class at Utah State University I looked into a few different blogs that were for education purposes. I had to look into 3 different blogs made by different classes and schools and the type of things they blog about. The first blog I looked into was called Spellingitoutblog at spellingitoutblog.wordpress.com a class out of Scotland and the teacher would review the things that they would cover on a daily basis and some of the students projects. The second one is called the Cougar News Blog at cougarnewsblog.com and this blog seemed like a online newspaper for the school and it would just cover the happening at the school and the things the students were involved in. The third blog that I looked into was another class blog called 5/6C@ The Junction at tips56c.edublogs.org this blog is about a class that post things like videos and pictures of projects that they are doing in class.  I think blogs like this can be helpful for the students and even there parents so the can see the kinds of things they are doing in class and a quick review for the students.
